Shatrughan Sinha said his attacks on BJP were not aimed at any individual. He said he never spoke against an individual but only on issues. “No individual is above the party.”

Rebel Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha, who is set to join the Congress, has said he is still “officially” part of the BJP but is on the “right track”.

“I am disappointed. I was with the BJP for the so longI was with it in its good and bad time. Dukh toh hota hai (I feel pained). But time is the biggest healer,” Shatrughan Sinha said.

Later in the day, Shatrughan Sinha tweeted: “Painfully….on the way out of BJP….But hopefully in the best direction under the dynamic leadership of my dear friend Lalu Yadav and the desirable, most talked about leader from the Nehru Gandhi family… the true family of nation builders…(sic)”
